Air Quality Data

Continuous Data

These left-hand column data tables include all of our continuous PM2.5 and ozone data as compilations of daily reports. You may find the data in the right-hand column easier to manipulate, but less timely. This data is not quality assured until it is submitted to AQS. Also, the continuous PM2.5 data in this section is not used to determine compliance status with the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). Data from our federal reference method (FRM) PM2.5 filter-based monitors are the only data used to determine compliance with the PM NAAQS. FRM data can be found under the AQS section in the opposite column.

Air Quality Systems Data

The Air Quality System (AQS/AIRS) contains ambient air pollution data collected by EPA, state, local, and tribal air pollution control agencies from thousands of monitoring stations.  AQS also contains meteorological data, descriptive information about each monitoring station (including its geographic location and its operator), and data quality assurance/quality control information.

The Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards (OAQPS) and other AQS users rely upon the system data to assess air quality, assist in Attainment/Non-Attainment designations, evaluate State Implementation Plans for Non-Attainment Areas, perform modeling for permit review analysis, and other air quality management functions.  AQS information is also used to prepare reports for Congress as mandated by the Clean Air Act.

Below you will find some raw hourly or daily AQS data for some RAPCA monitoring locations.

Note: All files are in MS Excel format although OpenOffice will also work on them.
